This is a discussion on Mossberg Maverick 88 within the Mossberg Shotgun Forum forums, part of the Shotgun Forums by Model category; I have read a lot of different posts on here about this gun, but I still was curious if most of the 500 accessories (esp. MOST Mossberg 500 parts fit the Maverick 88, except for the trigger group. Maverick has the trigger gruard safety, Mossberg has the tang safety. Ive read all over that i need a 500 slide. My olny questions are which size slide do i use and do i need this nut from the 500 ive heard about?
